Widad Taleb is a journalist and a political activist. She obtained a degree in Economics with a minor in Political Science from the University of Balamand.  

Widad has a wide experience in journalism, social work, and in advocacy for freedom of speech and peaceful assembly. She has worked with several non-governmental institutions on policymaking and conflict-resolution.

In addition, she has done a lot of pro bono initiatives that aim to advocate for human rights, women & youth empowerment, and child protection.
