Daniel Bonilla


Daniel Bonilla is the CEO of Bozanova, a consulting firm in economic development, organizational design, and effectiveness. He previously worked for the City of Minneapolis where he created their Business Technical Assistance Program, impacting over 1000 businesses annually. At that capacity, Mr. Bonilla created entrepreneurship programs for new and existing cooperatives. Daniel has multi-sector experience (Fortune 500, Government, Non-Profit and SmallBusiness), which allows him to adapt to different stakeholders and scenarios quickly. Before working in government, Daniel worked for General Mills in organizational effectiveness. Also, he worked at the Latino Economic Development Center, where he created the Latino AcademyTTOIC, a workforce training center geared toward the Latino community. Daniel’s efforts have positively impacted over700 small to medium-sized businesses and trained 800 individuals per year to improve their skills to obtain a job. Daniel Bonillaholds a Bachelor’s degree in Social and Economic Planning from the NationalUniversity of Costa Rica, an MBA from the University Latina of Costa Rica, an executive MBA from St. Thomas University, and a Masters in Human Relations at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Daniel is a GreenBelt Lean Six Sigma. Daniel received the Gold Award by the InternationalEconomic Development Council in 2018 for equitable economic development, Bronzein in 2016 for entrepreneurial program development, and the City of Minneapolis2013 Innovator of the Year.
